Hospice Care

Who can benefit from hospice and palliative care

Hospice service is a comprehensive program of medical care for patients with a life-limiting illness. Our caregivers assist in comforting to ease physical pain and symptoms. They can also provide effective emotional, social and spiritual support for patient’s and their loved ones. Our services include personal and respite care, medication reminder, companionship and support, transportation & making errands.

The term “palliative care” refers to any care that alleviates symptoms, even if there is hope of a cure by other means. It is an approach that focuses on the relief of pain, symptoms, and emotional stress brought on by serious illness.

Research published in the Journal of Pain Management found that terminally ill patients who received hospice care lived and average 29 days longer that those who did not opt for hospice care. (Source: National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization)

Where is hospice care given?

Our end-of-life care services are provided by compassionate homecare aides primarily in the comfort and familiarity of a patient’s own home. Hospice care can also be provided in an independent living/community setting or a skilled nursing facility where acute or respite needs arise.
